dREAMWALKER is my final thesis from Academy Art University. This is an online dream dictionary interactive site.It allows people to create their own dream symbols and keep their dream journals as well.The concept is based on traditional Chinese 5 elements: Gold, Wood, Water, Fire, Earth and Yin-Yang theory(as known as Tai chi symbol). The turtle is Water, the tiger is wood, the bird is fire, the dragon is metal and the wolf is earth. The Yin is moon and the Yang is the sun to represent the whole universe. Also, it is the philosophy of how Chinese took the infulence from.
Human depends on those nature ojects to turn their daily life on. So, I used this idea to apply on a dream dictionary that can make you to create a self defined dream dictionary. Because everyone is unique and same as your dream. It could be very dramatic, happyness or streeful. It is all realted to your daily life. There is a Chinese phrase says: You think it in the day and you dream it in the night. Everyting could have a clue or relationship to each other. In this project, I use the radial dot to cricle the Yin-Yang as the planets revolves around the sun in the universe.
In the dictionary, each symbol can have its own relationship with Yin or Yang or water or fire...ect. It will be really interested that you found out which element that you dreamed most and you can see the abstract line to present as a visual you. And there is a dream journal to let you write down the dream and I was thinking of could it be a play sell from everyone's dream. I mean, it could be a great resource for the play wirter to create stroies from people's dreams. I hope this can work in the future as a plantform for them. But even more important is that this dream dictionary site is designed for helping people to review their life and even make it better.
